Today,newtechnologyhasprovideduswithmuchconvenienceinourdailylivesanddifferentwaystoexpressourpreferencesoropinions.Forexample,wecanorderourfoodonlineandshareourfavoritebrandswithfriendsbysendingtextsorvoicemessages.Inthisseminar,Iwilldiscusshowtheuseofdifferentinterfacesmayinfluencethewayconsumersthinkaboutaproductandreacttowardit.Iwillanswerquestionssuchas:Willtouchscreensmakeconsumersmorelikelytochoosetastybutunhealthyfoodswhenorderingonline?Willsharingcommentsaboutabrandthroughvoicerecordingratherthantypingleadcustomerstofeelmoreconnectedtothebrand?Whatimplicationsdoestechnologyhaveonus,asconsumersandmarketerstoday?

Prof.ShenistheDirectorofMScPrograminMarketingandanAssociateProfessorofMarketingfromtheChineseUniversityofHongKong.Hisresearchinterestsincludesocialmedia,culture,andsensorymarketing.Hehaspublished16papersintop-tierjournals,receivedCUHKYoungResearcherAward2011,andwasnamedasaMarketingScienceInstitute(MSI)2015youngscholar.Prof.ShenisontheEditorialReviewBoardsofJournalofConsumerResearchandJournalofRetailing.HealsoteachesanMBAcourseonthetopicofdigitalmarketing.
